At Construct IN, managing a team is essential for any project. This tool allows users to add team members, manage and edit permissions, and remove users who are no longer active. Until 2024, this feature was only available in the desktop version of the system.
We realized that having this tool in the Construct IN app would be a great way to give managers more freedom in team management.
We decided to implement team management in the app, including functionalities such as adding members, configuring permissions, and a text-based search to simplify organization. This enhancement gives managers full autonomy to delegate tasks and manage teams directly from their mobile devices. The expected outcome is a strengthened perception of product value, increased user efficiency, and alignment with our strategic vision of scaling and consolidating in new markets.
Mobility to transform on-site team management
Construct IN was born with the purpose of enabling construction from anywhere in the world. To achieve this, we need to provide agile, practical tools that give users the autonomy to overcome day-to-day challenges on the job site.
We know that, on many construction sites, computers and Wi-Fi are not always available. On the other hand, mobile phones—with mobile internet and constant presence in managers’ routines—become the key tool. They are portable, fast, and accessible, exactly what an engineer needs to add team members and delegate tasks from anywhere.
Until the launch of this feature, the ability to add and manage users was limited to the web version, which hindered Construct IN’s scalability, especially in new and challenging markets. This made it difficult for the product to fully focus on solving clients’ practical problems and speeding up decision-making. Often, decisions depended on quickly delegating actions to someone else.
This gap directly impacted on-site efficiency, weakened the perceived value of the product, and diverged from Construct IN’s core purpose: providing users with complete freedom and mobility. Overcoming this limitation was essential to fulfill our promise of delivering a robust and accessible solution anywhere in the world.
